PORT ANGELES — Clallam County Public Utility District has energized power lines and most customers should have power restored following a late-morning outage between Gales Addition and the Dungeness River.
There are still 850 customers without power, served out of the Deer Park Substation east of Port Angeles along U.S. Highway 101.
Affected businesses include Walmart, Koenig Chevrolet Subaru, Wilder Auto Center and Deer Park Cinema.
Estimated time of restoration for the remaining 850 customers is 3 p.m.
PORT ANGELES — About 11,500 Clallam County Public Utility District customers are without power because of a tree that fell across power lines, causing circuit breakers to trip between Gales Addition east of Port Angeles to the Dungeness River.
The tree is reportedly in the Kitchen-Dick area near Carlsborg. A PUD spokesman said it's estimated that it will take 2 hours to restore service.
Updates as warranted.
