The Port Angeles girls (17-5) claimed the West Central District’s No. 3 seed at regionals by beating the Olympic Trojans on Monday for this third time this season, 43-33.
At regionals, the Roughriders will play seventh-ranked Cedarcrest (21-3) on Friday at Lynden High School at 6 p.m.
In the boys 2A West Central District championship game, eighth-ranked Sequim (20-4) lost to fourth-ranked Clover Park 60-45 at the ShoWare Center in Kent.
As the district’s No.2 seed, the Wolves will play Saturday at 4 p.m. at Kent-Meridian High School against the winner of Tuesday’s faceoff between Hockinson (13-10) and Washougal (16-7).
The second-ranked Neah Bay boys lost just their second game of the season in the 1B Tri-District title game, falling 65-64 to Cedar Park Christian (Mountlake Terrace).
The Red Devils (16-2) will travel to Lynnwood High School in Bothell for regionals, where they will face Waterville (17-6) on Saturday at 4 p.m.
The No. 3 Neah Bay girls (14-3) lost to Mount Vernon Christian 46-38, and will take the 1B Tri-District’s fourth seed to regionals.
The Red Devils now must travel to Eastmont High School in Wenatchee to play Pateros (16-3) on Friday at 8 p.m.
