One of the first casualties was a tree that fell into a house at 183 Mount Pleasant Heights Lane south of Port Angeles.
A Clallam County Fire District No. 2 spokesman said the tall fir tree fell shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday during a 60 mph wind gust.
An occupant inside escaped injury. The damage estimate is $75,000.
