On Thursday, detectives were investigating leads to track down the burglar.
Photographs from the home's surveillance system provided by the Sheriff's Office show a bearded man in blue jeans and a blue jacket wearing a baseball cap at the home's front steps.
Undersheriff Ron Peregrin said the man approached the home riding a bicycle, and circled around the house before ringing the doorbell and knocking on the door to see if anyone was home.
The man then broke open a bathroom window and burgled the house, the Sheriff's Office said.
The report did not say if the alleged burglar took anything from the home.
The homeowner reportedly was at a neighbor's house at the time.
Deputies are urging people to report suspicious or criminal activity to the sheriff's dispatch number at 360-417-2459 or to phone 9-1-1 in an emergency.
Anyone with information relevant to Wednesday's burglary or any other burglaries is urged to phone Detective Sgt. John Keegan at 360-417-2565.
