The free event, organized by the newly formed Celebrate Heritage, will showcase valentines, love and weddings through the years.
Children who are accompanied by adults will be able to make valentines. All of the materials necessary will be available.
A display of wedding gowns and photographs of former local citizens will be featured, along with marriage certificates, sheet music, love letters, fans and vintage valentines.
“You will be surprised at some of the wedding gowns we have. They are lovely and tell wonderful stories,” said Clallam County Historical Society Executive Director Kathy Monds.
Many artifacts
The exhibits feature many artifacts from the historical society’s collection.
Celebrate Heritage is dedicated to keeping the heritage of Clallam County alive and to making it exciting.
“We want our first event to be something no one else offers, and this will be a lot of fun for us to introduce ourselves to the community,” said Celebrate Heritage President Jim Moran.
