About 1 p.m. Friday, a person on Condon Lane reported seeing flames from a 30-foot pleasure craft about 400 yards from Foulweather Bluff, according to a press release.
Nearby boaters were able to rescue the two people onboard and begin firefighting efforts.
The fire was out by 2 p.m., said Battalion Chief Justin Fletcher.
East Jefferson Fire Rescue responded with its 24-foot four-person fire response boat, along with the U.S. Coast Guard, North Kitsap Fire and Suquamish Tribal Police.
The boat was a total loss.
