PORT ANGELES — The middle-aged woman whose body was found Sunday morning in the Morse Creek area of the Olympic Discovery Trail appears to have died of exposure, although an autopsy is being requested, said Clallam County Undersheriff Ron Cameron on Monday afternoon.
“Nothing we have found has led us to (suspecting foul play),” he said.
The woman’s body was found about 11 a.m. Sunday and Clallam County deputies and detectives processed the scene until about 2 p.m. Monday.
Chief Criminal Deputy Brian King wrote in an email Monday morning that the reporting party met with deputies Sunday morning and deputies confirmed the woman was deceased.
