PORTLAND, Ore. — The Bonneville Power Administration recently announced that it has paid the U.S. Treasury $1.06 billion.
According to a press release, this was the administration’s 36th consecutive, on-time annual payment to the treasury.
The payment includes $322 million in interest, $734 million of principal and $97 million for other expenses.
BPA has paid more than $30 billion to the treasury over the past 36 years.
