PORTLAND, Ore. — John Hairston has taken over as interim administrator and CEO of the Bonneville Power Administration.
Hairston replaces Elliot Mainzer, who departed the administration at the end of August.
Hairson joined the administration in 1991 and has previously served as chief administrative officer from 2015 to 2019 and as chief operating officer since last fall.
Hairston holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, La., a master’s degree in Urban Studies from Portland State University in Portland, Ore., and a Juris Doctorate from the Lewis and Clark College Northwestern School of Law in Portland, Ore.
