PORT ANGELES — More than 70 Clallam County employers are expected at a free job fair on Wednesday.
The Clallam County Job Fair will be from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Vern Burton Community Center, 308 E. Fourth St.
The annual job fair will feature businesses that are actively hiring for hundreds of positions.
Positions are skilled, technical and professional roles at full-time, part-time and entry levels, in education, finance, government, health care, legal, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, services industries and tribal.
Job seekers are urged to show up prepared to meet employers.
They will learn about employment resources, have an opportunity to get a free haircut courtesy of Buff’s Beauty Bar and can attend free workshops on ways improve their chances of getting a job.
Here is the workshop schedule:
• 1:15 p.m. to 2 p.m. — College to Career Connection, Brian Kneidle, Peninsula College.
• 2:15 p.m. to 3 p.m. — How to Find the Hidden Job Market, Jody Armstrong, CTS Truck School.
• 3:15 p.m. to 4 p.m. — Getting Your (Right) Foot in the Door, Tammy Hueter, Olympic Medical Center.
• 4:15 p.m. to 5 p.m. — Is Self-Employment Right for You? Kevin Hoult, Small Business Development Center.
The job fair is hosted by Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce, City of Port Angeles, WorkSource, Olympic Medical Center, Morningside, Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe, Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce, McKinley Paper Company and Angeles Composite Technologies Inc. (ACTI).
It is sponsored by Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe, Buff’s Beauty Bar, Pacific Office Equipment and Domino’s.
