PORT ANGELES — Nina Hill was presented a leadership award by Dr. Scott Kennedy, chief medical officer at Olympic Medical Center.
Hill, the center’s laboratory operations manager, was recognized for her work to reduce the time it takes for the center to get COVID-19 test results back.
According to a press release, in addition to improving the reporting time for test results, the improvements also save the center more than $1,000 per day in costs associated with testing supplies and transportation.
Hill joined the center’s lab staff in 2019.
