Sunshine Cafe reopens in Sequim after upgrades

Co-owners renovated, obtained liquor license

SEQUIM — The Sunshine Cafe in Sequim has reopened following a five-week closure for renovations.

The restaurant at 145 W. Washington St. has served breakfast and lunch from the ground floor of the Sequim Gazette building for 40 years.

The owners report that the remodeled cafe also has added a liquor license.

The cafe will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays during the winter.

Co-owners Tristen Beck and Lucas Schifflett purchased the cafe earlier this year.

Beck will manage the restaurant; Schifflett, who also operates Titan Construction, oversaw the renovations.
