Jim Thompson, Lower Elwha Police Department; and Michelle Olsen, Assistant Superintendent at Port Angeles School District, discuss the Handle With Care Program, which enables first responders to notify schools when they encounter a child at a traumatic scene, so schools can provide trauma-sensitive support right away to help kids succeed.
