Two arson suspects arrested after Forks home burns on Christmas Day

FORKS — Two people have been arrested for investigation of arson after a mobile home in Forks burned early Christmas morning.

Forks Police Chief Rick Bart said the two suspects were arrested within hours of the blaze, which started at about 3:30 a.m. and left the residents without a home.

Adolfo Martinez Rodriguez, 29, was booked into the Clallam County jail by 2:44 p.m. the same day for investigation of arson.

The name of the other suspect arrested wasn’t immediately available Monday.

Bart said he didn’t know the extent of the damage to the mobile home on Bogachiel Way, but that he knew the residents couldn’t stay there and the power was turned off.

“We identified two suspects almost immediately,” Bart said, adding they were known by the victims.

Bart didn’t go into detail about the investigation, but said the arrests were a result of good police work.

He expected more information to be released this week after more interviews with witnesses.
