All Jefferson County Picnic set for Sunday

PORT TOWNSEND — The 12th All County Picnic, which offers information about resilience and emergency preparedness in East Jefferson County, is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Due to a scheduling conflict, this year’s picnic will move to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 3907 Landes St.

The annual event hosted by The Production Alliance aims to combine a neighborly outing with connections to information and resources before a crisis happens.

Chef Arran Stark will prepare a free ratatouille from all-local ingredients.

The picnic will feature an emergency simulation at 2 p.m. at the Rotary Pavilion with presentations by the Jefferson County Department of Emergency Management, East Jefferson Fire and Rescue, the Port Townsend Police Department, Jefferson County Public Utility District #1 and Jefferson County Public Health.

Attendees will be able to visit booths and ask questions of American Red Cross, Dove House Advocacy Services, East Jefferson Fire Rescue, ECHHO, Engage JC, Food Bank Growers, Fredrickson Electric, Good Man Inc., Jefferson County CERT, Jefferson County Conservation District, Mason Conservation District, Jefferson County Emergency Management, Jefferson County Medical Reserve Corps, Jefferson County Public Health, Jefferson County PUD, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Jefferson Healthcare, Jefferson Transit Authority, KROH 91.1 FM and Oly-Comm, Local 20/20, Mental Health Author, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Newt Crossing Cohousing, NW Cold Treats, the Peninsula Trails Coalition, Port Townsend Police Department, Power Trip Energy Corp., Renewal by Andersen, Salish Rescue, Sugar Hill Farm, VECOM and the YMCA Kid Zone.
