Art marketplace reopens

PORT ANGELES — The new Holiday Makers’ Market at the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center will reopen today.

Admission is free to the center at 1203 E. Lauridsen Blvd., where 21 local artists have gifts on display today through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Note cards, Haida-inspired jewelry, hand-dyed silk scarves and shawls, dolls and handmade journals are among the art pieces priced at $5 and up.

Artists taking part in the marketplace, which will have its final four days next week, Dec. 19-22, include Susan Hamilton, Pamela Hastings, Michelle Johnson and Jan Dove of Port Angeles and Renne Emiko Brock and Linda Collins Chapman of Sequim.
