Artisan market to include demonstrations Saturday

SEQUIM — Local artisans will demonstrate how they create their works from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The Rain Shadow Artisan Market will be at the Dungeness River Nature Center, 1943 Hendrickson Road.

Artisans selected for the show include Art Brooks, Larry Gonzales, Paulette Hill, Linda B. Myers and Heidi Hansen.

Art Brooks, of Upper Left Corner Pottery, has been a potter for more than five decades.

Brooks will discuss his unique styles and colors, which he has developed over time in his home studio.

Larry Gonzales, of By The Sea, creates relief carvings from local wood.

His wife, Linda, helps inspire Larry’s marine, wildlife and flora designs.

Linda B. Myers and Heidi Hansen, of Olympic Peninsula Authors, will answer questions on how to move written words toward publication.

Myers will also introduce her new book, “What Little I Know Now: The view from the back nine of life.”

Paulette Hill, of Paulette’s By Design, is a jewelry artist whose designs combine wire wrapping, stones and beaded accessories.
