COYLE — Michael Fracasso, a songwriter from Austin, Texas, will play Saturday at Concerts in the Woods.
The concert will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Laurel B. Johnson Community Center, 923 Hazel Point Road in Coyle.
Tickets are by donation, with a suggestion of $20.
Big Top, the new-old Lucky Hound Music release from Fracasso, is the opposite of what’s commonly referred to as a “grower.”
Produced by Charlie Sexton of Austin, Texas, Fracasso’s sweetly affecting voice and masterful songcraft have never sounded so vibrant.
Not only is Fracasso a musician, he’s also a proud father with a thriving cooking career that meshes nicely with his music, sometimes including innovative combined cooking/singing performances.
In 2013, he released a book, “Artist in the Kitchen: A Brief Autobiography in Food,” detailing this lifelong passion and his late-night feasts, prepared after gigs for an exclusive coterie of musicians and pals.
