PORT TOWNSEND — Singer-songwriters Kathryn Claire and Margot Merah will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
The concert will be in the Palindrome at Eaglemount Cidery, 1893 S. Jacob Miller Road.
Whidbey Island singer-songwriter Timothy Hull will open the show.
Tickets are $20 per person online at https://www.ticketstorm.com/e/29630/t or $25 at the door.
Claire, a Portland-based multi-instrumentalist, plays violin, guitar and ukulele.
Claire’s music weaves together stories and melodies that are rooted in her classical and traditional musical background.
Merah, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, is a storyteller in the folk tradition.
Although Merah regularly performs as a solo artist, she prefers to collaborate with other musicians.
The pair met in Amsterdam in 2013 and began to tour together, performing traditional music, folk and harmony singing.
They created an album, “Come Close, Come In” in 2023, a combination of original music and traditional covers, and they have been touring in the Pacific Northwest, as far east as Montana, since its release.
