PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic Library System’s Summer Reading Program will host “Take a Haiku” at all its branches this week.
Participants will observe the landscape, learn about haiku and nature poetry then write an original poem..
The workshops are part of the program’s weekly Discovery Club for youths in kindergarten through fifth grade.
No registration is needed to attend the workshops set for:
• 3 p.m. Tuesday at Tillicum Park, Tillicum Lane in Forks.
• 3 p.m. Wednesday, outside children’s area at the Port Angeles branch, 2210 S. Peabody St.
• 3 p.m. Thursday, in the grassy area on the west side of the Clallam Bay branch, 16990 state Highway 112.
• 10:30 a.m Friday, behind the Sequim branch, 601 N. Sequim Ave.
