PORT ANGELES — Drink & Draw will feature actors from the Port Angeles Community Players’ upcoming production of “The Dresser” on Thursday.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the first pose at 7 p.m. at Studio Bob, 118½ E. Front St. Admission is free. The event is for all ages and dog-friendly.
Three 20-minute poses with a 10-minute break in between are planned. Art supplies are provided or participants can bring their own. Photographer Dan McKenna will be on hand to capture scenes from the evening.
Refreshments such as beer, wine, ciders, soda, coffee and tea will be available for purchase.
Actors planning to model for the evening include Peter Stone, Zachary Weidenhoeft, Sarah Tucker, Kevin Breckinridge, Matt Gieseke, Rick Mischke, Emma Siler and Rebecca Hall.
They are from the cast of “The Dresser,” written by Ronald Harwood and directed by Timothy Thorn.
Here is how Thorn describes the setup for the play:
“Actors prepare for the evening’s performance. It’s 1941. The show is King Lear, and the lead actor, Sir, is ill. All around, Hitler’s bombs explode. Norman, Sir’s dresser, does what he has to do to get Sir on stage. Relationships are tested and no one knows what will happen next.
“But, the show must go on!”
