PORT ANGELES — “El Mariachi,” will be presented at Studio Bob on Thursday. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the movie will be screened at 7 p.m. at 118½ E. Front St., Port Angeles. Tickets are $10.
The 1992, subtitled, Sundance Film Festival Award-winning movie will be shown on a large screen with surround sound. The audience will sit in stuffed chairs and be able to enjoy popcorn and a beverage. There will be a prize drawing at intermission.
Directed by Robert Rodriguez, this film has been selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the National Film Registry for being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”
“El Mariachi” is sponsored by the Port Angeles Arts Council as part of its monthly movie series. It is rated R; people under 17 should be accompanied by an adult.
