Entertainment set on North Olympic Peninsula

Music, art and a Revolutionary reenactment are offered on the North Olympic Peninsula this weekend.

• First Friday Art Walk in Sequim is a free, self-guided tour of local art venues in Sequim from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. the first Friday of every month.

Among the many special events today is an exhibition by the Peninsula ART Friends — a group of local artists who create water-media and multi-layered collage art — at the Sequim Museum & Arts at 544 N. Sequim Ave.

A meet-the-artists reception will be at the museum from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.

Also on the walk is “These Artists Do It All” exhibit at Blue Whole Gallery, 129 W. Washington St., which features Jeannine Chappell, an acrylic painter and writer, and Jolene Sanborn, a watercolor and alcohol ink painter.

Go to SequimArtWalk.com to download and print a map.

• Northwest Colonial Festival will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at George Washington Inn, 939 Finn Hall Road, Port Angeles.

Tickets at the door are $14 for adults; $8 for military, seniors and teens; and $2 for children ages 2-12.

Reenactors will recreate life from 1775 and the American Revolutionary War with encampments, demonstrations, hands-on learning, children’s games and activities, among other activities.

Skirmishes between British Regulars and the colonial militia take place at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. today through Sunday.
