PORT ANGELES — Local talent FarmStrong will team up with Harbinger Winery to benefit children and families through First Step Family Support Center at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
The winery’s bar will open for business at 6:30 p.m. and music will begin at 7 p.m.
Harbinger, located at 2358 U.S. Highway 101, has been a supporter of local First Step Family Support Center, whose mission is to promote the healthy development of children and families in Clallam County.
Tickets are available at the door — $15 per ticket or two tickets for $25.
Attendees can purchase tickets in advance by visiting www.First StepFamily.org. All proceeds go to First Step.
While FarmStrong, a local quartet featuring Jim Faddis (vocals, rhythm guitar), Cort Armstrong (lead guitar, vocals), Rick Meade (dobro, vocals) and John Pyles (upright bass, jokes), draws from its background in bluegrass and traditional country, its repertoire would best be characterized as a broad cross-section of American roots music, emphasizing the songster tradition.
Since 1971, First Step has worked to help children thrive through parent education, family support and child development programs.
First Step offers a variety of services, including several home visiting programs, parent education classes, support groups, resource and referral services, emergency diapers, baby equipment and clothing, and parent advocacy services.
With funding from a variety of grants, contracts and local donors, First Step strives to meet the needs of parents, families, and their children.
