SEQUIM — First Friday Art Walk will celebrate with a silver, black and white-themed walk from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at various venues in downtown Sequim.
Maps for the self-guided tour are available at www.sequimartwalk.com.
Special events in January include:
• The Ninth Whodunit Downtown? Mystery Game will present “The Case of the Platinum Record Disharmony” from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
During the game, visitors can engage with suspects and collect clues at various venues to solve a crime for a chance to win a prize.
The story, set in January 1995, has The Boyz N the Boat boy band returning to its hometown of Sequim after making it big with the hit “Race To Win Your Heart.”
The band is set to perform at a nonprofit fundraiser and is rumored to have a shocking announcement, revealing a crime to those present at the event.
Participants, ages 21 and older, can pick up a game card at the A. Milligan Art Studio & Gallery, the Blue Whole Gallery, the Sequim Habitat Boutique Store, La Petite Maison Blanc, Pacific Mist Books, Over the Fence, Sequim Spice and Tea and Wind Rose Cellars.
Completed game cards can be entered at “Whodunit Headquarters” in Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County’s Sequim Habitat Boutique Store, 154 W. Washington St.
• The Blue Whole Gallery, 129 W. Washington St., will display “January Stars.”
The show, which features the best works of the gallery’s members, is curated by Jennifer Rose, a bead and jewelry artist.
“January Stars gives each artist an opportunity to present what they like most about their work,” Rose said. “As the curator, my job is to make sure I find a way to showcase each piece, and that’s not an easy thing to do.”
Visitors can see the display and talk to the artists during Art Walk.
