PORT ANGELES — Round 2 of the inaugural Big Spring Spruce Up earlier this month is today, with the planting of flowers in downtown planter beds.
Volunteers are urged to show up at 121 W. Front St., at 9 a.m. for the planting party, which will go on until noon.
More than 75 volunteers showed up May 1 to help weed, pick up trash, clean sidewalks and remove thousands of pounds worth of green waste during the spruce up, according to the Port Angeles Chamber of Commerce.
“Now we want to build on that event by filling the downtown planter beds with flowers,” the chamber said on its website at http://www. portangeles.org/events/ calendar.
Coffee, donuts, fruit and water will be available along with “music to inspire you.”
