Former ‘The Voice’ contestant to perform in Port Angeles

PORT ANGELES — Ericka Corban, who graced the national stage of NBC’s “The Voice,” will perform at a local albeit cozier venue Saturday night.

Corban will perform with her bandmates at Studio Bob, 118½ E. Front St., from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Tickets cost $10 at the door. Studio Bob is an all-ages venue.

Corban appeared on Season 12 of “The Voice” in March, and since then, she’s been recording an album of new songs.

Her music crosses genres, exuding hints of soft pop, folk, country and indie. She’s accompanied by her guitar, piano, ukulele and vocals, which have been likened to Norah Jones, Adele and Sarah McLachlan, according to her website.

Corban describes her music as “sweet yet bold, inviting, honest, relaxing and comfortable.”

In 2003, she took the title of Female Vocalist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year at the Northwest Fine Arts Festival — she was just in high school at the time.
