Fun Days celebrates Clallam Bay, Sekiu

CLALLAM BAY-SEKIU — Fireworks will highlight three days of free celebrations during the Clallam Bay-Sekiu Fun Days.

Fireworks will be at dusk Saturday — the second day of the celebration.

Here is the schedule for the three-day celebration:

Friday

• 4 p.m. — Deadline for the Amateur Photo Contest entry submission at the Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center, 16753 state Highway 112.

• 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. — Messy Palettes Art Show – Sekiu Community Center, 42 Rice St.

• 6 p.m. — Festival Potluck Social at the bus barn at Clallam Bay High School, 16933 Highway 112.

• Evening — Friends of the Library Local Historic Photo Sale at the bus barn.

• Evening — Live music with Boot Hill Express at the bus barn.

Saturday

• 8:30 a.m. — Poker Ride Race sign up in the parking lot, Clallam Bay High School.

• 9 a.m. — Poker Ride Race, organized by Dixie Simpson and crew.

• 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Live music with The After Thoughts at the Clallam Bay Inn, 31 Frontier St.

• 10 a.m. — Lions Club Barbecue at Gary’s Pay and Save parking lot, 16755 Frontier St.

• 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Amateur Photo Contest public viewing and judging at the Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center.

• 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. — Clallam Bay Library Book Sale at the library, 16990 state Highway 112.

• 11 a.m. — Grand Parade along Weel Road to Bogachiel Street in Clallam Bay.

• 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. — Messy Palettes Art Show following the parade at the Sekiu Community Center.

• 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Open house at the Presbyterian Church, 15 Eighth St.

• 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. — Virtual reality with Oculus for teens age 13 and older or adults at the Clallam Bay Library.

• Dusk — Breakwater Restaurant Fireworks from the Olson’s Masons Resort breakwater, 444 Front St.

Sunday

• 9 a.m. — Fun Run registration sign up at the Clallam Bay Fire Department, 60 Eagle Crest Way. Registration is $10.

• 10 a.m. — Fun Run start.

• 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Messy Palettes Art Show at the Sekiu Community Center.

• 2 p.m. — Amateur Photo Contest at the Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center.
