Gallery seeks volunteers

PORT TOWNSEND — Northwind Art is inviting art lovers to volunteer in its downtown Grover Gallery.

“It’s a vibrant place, and volunteering is a way to be part of the arts community,” said Northwind Art Executive Director Teresa Verraes, of the gallery at 236 Taylor St. in Port Townsend.

“Come work with us; spend one day a week at the gallery, for example, and see how you like it. We’ll train you,” she added.

To learn more and find a volunteer application form, see https://northwindart.org and use the Volunteer link at the top of the home page.

Northwind Art, a nonprofit organization formed in 2021 from the merger of the Port Townsend School of the Arts and the Northwind Arts Center, operates the Grover Gallery on Taylor Street and the Jeanette Best Gallery at 701 Water St.

The Northwind Art School, offering more than 100 classes throughout this spring and summer, is located at Fort Worden State Park.
