PORT TOWNSEND — Gingerbread kits are available for the 30th Uptown Gingerbread Contest through Nov. 30.
The kits may be picked up at the Port Townsend Public Library, 1220 Lawrence St.
Submissions will be accepted during regular hours at the library from Dec. 1-8.
Port Townsend Mayor David Faber will judge entries in three categories: children 12 and under, most creative and most literary.
The fourth category, People’s Choice, will be determined by popular vote from Dec. 9-16.
Winners will be announced by Dec. 20 and entries must be picked up by Jan. 3.
Submissions should be identified with a family-friendly name and the artist’s contact details.
Houses may not exceed 18 inches in width or depth. There is no limit on height.
All houses must be constructed completely of edible materials.
