Hundreds of cars expected at Rakers Car Show

PORT TOWNSEND — The 16th Port Townsend Rakers Car Show will open at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

The annual car show spotlighting all makes of cars, trucks, rat rods and motorcycles will be at Memorial Field, 550 Washington St.

Registration of $20 for participants will open at 7:30 a.m. Judging will commence at 1:30 p.m. and awards will be presented at 3 p.m. More than 35 trophies will be awarded.

Gates will open to the public at 9:30 a.m. Admission will be $5 per person. Active duty military and children 12 and younger will be admitted free. Children must be accompanied by adults.

Last year, the car show drew more than 240 entries.

Proceeds will benefit the Rakers Car Club Scholarship Fund.
