‘Inspired by Art’ featured at Studium Generale this week

PORT ANGELES — Peninsula College will begin its Winter 2025 Studium Generale program with “Inspired by Art: A collection of ekphrastic poetry” at 12:35 p.m. Thursday.

Future presentations in the series include “Honoring the Legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.” on Jan. 16, “Experiencing Conflict as a Gift” with Ankur Shah Delight on Jan. 23, “Awareness and Prevention of Human Trafficking” with Mark Nichols on Jan. 30, “Fulbright Exchange to India” with Rob DeCou on Feb. 6, “Mangroves: An Invaluable Ally Against Climate Change” with Alfredo Quarto on Feb. 13, “Undersea Research and Opportunities for Rural College Students” with John R. Teal and Deborah Kelley on Feb. 20, “Cancer Sticks — Corruption of Sacred Tobacco” with Karen Sixkiller on Feb. 27; and an artist lecture by Cory Ench on March 6.
