Local writers to showcase ‘In the Words’

The Olympic Peninsula Authors will host a series of author readings from the third edition of “In the Words of Olympic Peninsula Authors,” with the first on Tuesday.

The book’s launch party was in Sequim last week for Volume 3.

The 325-page book includes short stories, prose and poems by 31 authors who are awarding-winning, published and/or newly recognized for their talent.

All selections involve life on the Olympic Peninsula in one way or another.

Author readings

Three author readings from “In the Words … ” are scheduled.

They include:

• 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday: at Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St. Featured writers include Stephen Workman, Bethany Loy, Elizabeth K. Pratt, Vykki Morrison, Dr. Jan Thatcher Adams, Marlene Shinn Lewis, Louise Lenahan Wallace and Linda B. Myers.

• 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 8: at Port Angeles Library. Featured writers include Dianne Knox, Kirsti Lee, Judith Duncan, Abigail Jones, Harley Davidson, John Victor Anderson, Michael Medler, Gordon Anderson, Derek Huntington, Eva McGinnis and Craig Andrews.

• 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 17: at Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave. Featured writers include Jerry Koch, Grace Rosen, Heidi Hansen, Dr. Joan Enoch, Virginia Timm, Terry Sager, Jonathan Langdon, John Norgord, Mike Nolan and Ruth Geiger.
