PORT TOWNSEND — Guitarist, harp-guitarist, and composer Muriel Anderson will perform a multimedia at The Palindrome at Eaglemount Cidery at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Doors at the venue at 1893 S. Jacob Miller Road, will open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance at https://undiscoveredmusic.net/shows/192429 or $25 at the door.
Anderson is the first woman to have won the National Fingerstyle Guitar Championship, organizers said.
Her CD, “Nightlight Daylight,” was chosen as one of the top 10 CDs of the decade by Guitar Player Magazine, and her “Heartstrings” recording accompanied the astronauts on the space shuttle.
Among those she has performed with or recorded with are Chet Atkins, Les Paul, Victor Wooten, Tommy Emmanuel and the Nashville Chamber Orchestra. Muriel was also named one of the top 50 acoustic guitarists of all time by Guitar Player Magazine.
A backdrop of visuals will be projected behind her.
Anderson’s recent release is her album and book “The Optimism Collection.” It features music and visuals drawn from a variety of inspirations.
Her “Acoustic Chef” is a CD of music from around the world with a cookbook of recipes and stories to go with each tune. She is the founder of the Music for Life Alliance.
