Music, stories offered this weekend

Music and stories are among the activities highlighted this weekend on the North Olympic Peninsula.

Port Angeles duo — Pianist Paige Roberts Molloy and violinist Elisa Barston will perform tonight and Saturday night in concerts presented by the Port Angeles Symphony.

The performances are at 7 p.m. tonight at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 E. Lopez Ave., Port Angeles; and at 7 p.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave., Sequim.

Tickets are available at www.portangelessymphony .org, at Port Book and News in downtown Port Angeles, and at the door.

While the price is $15, kids 18 and younger are admitted free with a ticketed patron.

More information is available by phoning the symphony office at 360-457-5579 or emailing pasymphony@olypen.com.

The duo will offer an evening of Mozart, Jean-Marie Leclair and Johannes Brahms.

Out Loud Story Slam — The annual Grand Slam will be at 7 tonight at Olympic Theatre Arts, 414 N. Sequim Ave., Sequim.

Tickets are $20 and are available online at olympic theatrearts.org or by calling the box office between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

• Two movies — “Zoom Zoom Particle Flambee” and “Clown Car,” will be presented at 7 tonight.

Tickets will be $10 at the door of Studio Bob at 118½ E. Front St., but no one will be turned away due to lack of funds.

The moves by multimedia artist France Rreally will be accompanied by the Peninsula Queer Xhoir.

This event will feature the West Coast premiere of “Zoom Zoom Particle Flambée,” a film about a girl who gets lost in the internet. It is directed by Rreally with an original score composed by Port Angeles artist Noah Smith.

“Clown Car” is a responsive performance for Xhoir and video about a group of clowns driving through a nighttime cityscape, reacting to the things they encounter there.

• Buck Ellard Band — The band will perform at the Port Angeles Eagles, 2843 E. Myrtle St., from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.

The cover charge will be $10 per person, $8 for members.

Rainbow Girls — The Port Angeles Rainbow Assembly will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls with a tea party from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

The centennial celebration will be in the Masonic Lodge, 622 S. Lincoln St.

Former Rainbow Girls, from any assembly, are invited to tea.
