Music workshop to be conducted next week

PORT ANGELES — Morgan-Ellis Studios will conduct a one-week workshop for strings beginning at 9 a.m. Monday.

The week-long workshop will be at First United Methodist Church, 110 E. Seventh St. in Port Angeles.

The workshop is open to string players from first through 12th grades who have at least one year of experience and can read music.

Attendees will be placed into ensembles based on the level of their playing ability.

The workshop will run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday with a free concert at 10 a.m. Friday in the church’s sanctuary.

Tuition is $50 per student. Some scholarships are available.
