NOLS offering variety of games for fall at library locations

PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic Library System will host a variety of game programs this fall.

Participants at the free programs may use games supplied by the library or bring their own to share.

• Library Lawn Games: The Sequim Branch Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., Sequim, will host all-ages lawn games from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. each Wednesday in September in the field behind the library.

• It’s All Fun and Games: The Port Angeles Main Library, 2210 S. Peabody St., Port Angeles, will host It’s All Fun and Games for ages 15 and older.

Participants will have access to jigsaw puzzles in a variety of sizes as well as board and card games from 10 a.m. to noon on the second Saturday of each month beginning Sunday, Sept. 9, through March.

Due to the Veteran’s Day holiday, November’s session will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10.

• Game Lounges: The monthly all-ages game lounges are open in West End branch libraries beginning in October.

The Forks Branch Library, 171 S. Forks Ave., Forks, will host Game Lounge from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the first Friday of each month beginning Oct. 6 though March.

The Clallam Bay Branch Library, 16990 state Highway 112, Clallam Bay, will host Game Lounge from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month beginning Oct. 12, skipping December and returning January through April.

Both branches will host extended hours from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. during Spring Break; on Tuesday, April 2, in Clallam Bay and Friday, April 5, in Forks.

• Teen Tuesday Game Club: The Port Angeles Main Library will host teens in seventh through 12th grades at Game Club as part of the Teen Tuesday series.

Participants can play board or card games from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the first and fifth Tuesday of each month from today through Dec. 5.

• Teen Board Game and Art Night: The Sequim Branch Library will offer board games, art activities and free pizza for teens in seventh through 12th grades from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the second Friday of each month from Sept. 8 through Dec. 8.

The library game programs are partly supported by local Friends of the Library groups.
