Old Blind Dogs perform Saturday

PORT ANGELES — Scottish folk band Old Blind Dogs will bring dynamic percussion, polished vocals, a soaring fiddle and stirring pipes to Port Angeles on Saturday night.

The concert will start at 7 p.m. in the Port Angeles Elks Lodge ballroom, 131 E. First St.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for youths 14 and younger. They can be purchased at www.jffa.org.

Since forming in the early 1990s, Old Blind Dogs have stood on the cutting edge of Scotland’s roots revival, according to a news release.

From Aberdeenshire on Scotland’s northeast coast, the band developed its own trademark style.

The band includes Aaron Jones (bouzouki, vocals, guitar), Johnny Hardie (fiddle, vocals), Ali Hutton (pipes, whistles, guitar) and Donald Hay (percussion, vocals).

The Juan de Fuca Foundation organized the concert for its 2017-18 season. For upcoming concerts, visit the Juan de Fuca Foundation’s website.
