SEQUIM — Olympic Theatre Arts’ final production of the 2016-17 season will open Friday, June 9.
The play, titled “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike” and written by Christopher Durang, will run every Saturday and Sunday until Sunday, June 25, at the theater, located at 414 N. Sequim Ave.
Tickets currently are available at www.olympic theatrearts.org or at the theater box office, open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
Casting is complete for the production, and director Jim Guthrie has “chosen a strong cast to stage this quirky comedy that revolves around the relationships of three middle-aged siblings,” according to a news release.
Vanya and Sonia, two of the siblings, will be played by Ron Graham and Sara Nicholls, respectively. Masha will be played by Angela Poynter, Spike by E.J. Anderson, Cassandra by Jennifer Horton and Nina by Melissa Karapostoles.
The play contains many references to Anton Chekov, an acclaimed Russian playwright of the 19th century, according to a news release.
