Other food bank benefits set

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Community Players and Port Angeles Food Bank are partnering in the premiere showing of “One Man, Two Guvnors,” one of several efforts to benefit the food bank.

The Players and food bank — which provides food throughout Clallam County — are “meeting this moment of inflated food prices and benefit reductions with humor and art,” according to a press release.

The Players pitched the idea for a special fundraising performance of its upcoming play to the food bank, offering a preview of its newest production in exchange for an enthusiastic audience.

In addition to the Community Players’ food drive, a food and supply drive is held in coordination with the “What’s For Lunch?” exhibit ongoing through May 14 at Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, 1203 E. Lauridsen Blvd. It is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.

Throughout the month of May, Mark’d Body Art, at 119 W. First St. in downtown Port Angeles, is conducting a food and supply drive to benefit the Port Angeles Food Bank. It offers $1,000 in prizes.

On Sept. 16, the Port Angeles Food Bank will host its second Empty Bowls fundraiser, its largest annual event.

The food bank’s Market, a no-barriers food pantry, is open to everyone from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 632 N. Oakridge Drive.
