PORT HADLOCK — A preview of the Seattle Opera’s production of “The Barber of Seville” is planned at the Jefferson County Library at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Due to limited seating, event organizers advise those interested to arrive early to the production at the library at 620 Cedar Ave.
The opera, which boasts professional singers and an accompanist, and charges — at the least — $55 a ticket for its home performances, will present the story and music for free.
This prequel to Mozart’s “Marriage of Figaro” finds quick-witted Figaro helping Count Almaviva whisk fair Rosina away from her ghastly guardian through a series of schemes fit for a Bugs Bunny cartoon, according to a news release.
