Rhododendrons topic of discussion

CHIMACUM — Bob Zimmerman will address a meeting of the Olympic Peninsula Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society at 3 p.m. Thursday.

The chapter will meet in the back room at the Tri-Area Community Center, 10 West Valley Road.

Zimmerman will discuss growing rhodies in a time of climate change.

Zimmerman starts more than 5,000 rhododendron seeds each year at his Chimacum Woods Nursery on the Coyle Peninsula.

The public is invited to the free meeting, and refreshments will be served.
