Sequim, Port Angeles plan free outdoor concerts

Free outdoor concerts are planned in Sequim and Port Angeles next week.

The last performance in the city of Sequim’s Concerts in the Park will be Tuesday when Ranger and the Re-Arrangers offer swing and gypsy jazz at 6 p.m. at the James Center for the Performing Arts at Carrie Blake Park, 202 N. Blake Ave.

The concert was originally set for July 2 but was canceled due to poor weather.

Attendees are urged to bring portable lawn chairs and blankets for seating.

Coyote BBQ’s pulled pork and other food will be available.

In the penultimate performance of the season, Black Diamond Junction will perform classic hits at the Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce’s 6 p.m. Wednesday summer outdoor Concerts on the Pier.

Audience members are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs.

If heavy wind or bad weather is expected, the performances might be moved to The Gateway pavilion at the corner of Lincoln and Front streets.

The last concert of the Port Angeles series will be Sept. 11, with Champagne Sunday playing “effervescent rock.”
