Shipwrights’ Regatta postponed

Now set for March 26

PORT TOWNSEND — The 31st annual Shipwrights’ Regatta was postponed to March 26.

The regatta had been set for Saturday but the Port Townsend Sailing Association decided Friday to postpone it because of the National Weather Service forecast of high winds on Saturday.

”It is just too risky to have a race with a gale warning in effect,” the board said on the website at https://ptsail.org/shipwrights-regatta-2022/.

”Most details will stay the same with just the date changed.”

Those who want their registration to carry over to the new date are asked to email info@ptsail.org.

Otherwise, they will removed from the list, but all can sign up again at any time.
