PORT TOWNSEND — The second gathering of the Quimper Story Guild will feature a story swap by local tellers, as well as activities and discussion to enhance the craft of storytelling Sunday.
The swap will be from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Port Townsend Library’s Charles Pink House at 1220 Lawrence St.
What the guild is
The guild is a Jefferson County community organization for fostering the art and tradition of storytelling in a welcoming space for both enthusiasts and tellers.
The group began in March. Sunday’s swap will be limited to seven tellers. Sign-up will be on a first-come basis at the gathering.
Each teller will have up to five minutes. Stories are told, not read.
Slate of activities
Discussion about the guild’s development, introductory telling activities, sharing of resources and planning for performances or workshops might also be part of the Sunday afternoon event.
