PORT ANGELES — Tickets are on sale now for a May 4 concert, “Lauren Fox: Love, Lust, Fear &Freedom: The Songs of Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen.”

The concert, sponsored by the Juan de Fuca Foundation, will be at 7 p.m. at the Port Angeles High School Performing Arts Center, 304 E. Park Ave.

Tickets are between $15 and $35, with entry $10 for youths 14 and younger. They can be purchased online at www.jffa.org; Port Book and News in Port Angeles, 104 E. First St.; and Joyful Noise Music, 112 W. Washington St. in Sequim.

Fox will use stories and song to explore the creative genius and conflicted desires of Mitchell and Cohen, according to Dan Maguire, executive director of the Juan de Fuca Foundation for the Arts.

“Ms. Fox’s rendition of Mr. Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’ was the deepest and most dramatically revealing of any I’ve heard,” said Stephen Holden of The New York Times in a review.

Fox lives in New York City, where she was born. She is a Bistro, MAC and Nightlife Award winner.
