Undersea research to be presented at Studium Generale

PORT ANGELES — John R. Teal and Deborah Kelley will present “Undersea Research and Opportunities for Rural College Students” at 12:35 p.m. Thursday.

The free hybrid lecture series will be in the Little Theater on the college’s Port Angeles campus, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.

Teal, a Peninsula College student, and Kelley, a professor at the University of Washington, will discuss undersea research conducted aboard the R/V Atlantis during the 2024 summer research program.

Future presentations in the series include “Cancer Sticks — Corruption of Sacred Tobacco” with Karen Sixkiller on Feb. 27, and an artist lecture by Cory Ench on March 6.
