Bossa nova, Americana, blues, country and soul will be highlighted at free outdoor concerts on the North Olympic Peninsula next week.
Max Hatt & Edda Glass will perform contemporary, jazz, bossa nova and Brazilian music at the City of Sequim’s Concerts in the Park at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the James Center for the Performing Arts at Carrie Blake Park, 202 N. Blake Ave.
Backwoods Hucksters will play acoustic Americana roots at the Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce’s 6 p.m. Wednesday summer outdoor Concerts on the Pier.
Big Hands Colvin will perform blues, country and soul at Port Townsend Main Street Program’s Concerts on the Dock on Thursday.
Sequim
The city of Sequim’s Concerts in the Park take place at 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Aug. 27 with Stardust Big Band featured this week.
Admission is free and open to the public.
Attendees are urged to bring portable lawn chairs and blankets for seating.
Coyote BBQ pulled pork and other food will be available.

• Aug. 6 — Black Diamond Junction; classic rock, pop and country.
• Aug. 13 — Blue Rhinos; blues and rock.
• Aug. 20 — Farmstrong; folk, country and bluegrass.
• Aug. 27 — Joy in Mudville; Americana/roots rock.
• Sept. 3 — Ranger and the Re-Arrangers, swing and gypsy jazz. The concert was originally set for July 2 but was canceled due to poor weather.

Port Angeles
The Port Angeles summer concert series is the longest on the North Olympic Peninsula with a performance every Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. through Sept. 11 during the Concerts on the Pier at Railroad Avenue and Lincoln Street.
Admission is free and open to the public.
Audience members are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs.
If heavy wind or bad weather is expected, the performances might be moved to The Gateway pavilion at the corner of Lincoln and Front streets.

Port Townsend
Downtown Port Townsend will rock with all-ages free Concerts on the Dock on Thursdays through Aug. 29 at Pope Marine Park Plaza, on Water Street between Madison and Monroe streets.
Seating will open at 4:30 p.m. and music will run from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Attendees should bring chairs or blankets. In the event of rain, concerts will be moved to the Cotton Building, 607 Water St.
Local vendors include Mo Chilli BBQ, Barbarian Fine Cuisine, Aldrich’s Market, Java Gypsies, BluJay Kombucha, Olympic Neighbors, Magical Henna, and James Jackson Massage. Beer from Port Townsend Brewing Co., wine from Port Townsend Vineyards and a rotating cider from either Finnriver Farm & Cidery, Eaglemount Cider or Alpenfire Cider also will be available.
