I recently had the pleasure of hearing the candidates at a forum for the state House of Representatives, District 24, Position 1.
I was impressed by the group’s overall quality, they were all intelligent, well-spoken and respectful.
But we can only vote for one candidate and I am supporting Adam Bernbaum.
Adam has impressed me with his in-depth, thoughtful positions on major issues facing our region such as housing affordability, access to childcare, and rural disparity.
He understands the balance needed to manage natural resources for both conservation and the economy.
It is refreshing to have a candidate who understands that the environment and living wage jobs are not mutually exclusive.
His experience in Olympia as Sen. Kevin Van de Wege’s legislative assistant, his work for Rep. Derek Kilmer and his record of helping so many residents of District 24 means he already understands the legislative processes and relationships that most new representatives spend the first half of their term learning.
I am sure he will hit the ground running and I hope you will join me in supporting Adam.
