I am writing this letter in support of Phyllis Bernard as District 3 commissioner for Clallam County Public Utility District No. 1.
I was pleased when the board of commissioners unanimously selected her to fill the unexpired term of Jim Waddell on the board.
I plan to support their decision by voting for Phyllis on election day.
Phyllis is an intelligent woman with many years of experience on committee boards and with electrical and water issues.
She is not only qualified for this position, but she is also honest, sincere, trustworthy and a devoted worker.
She is eager to listen to all sides of an issue and has been a mediator in the U.S. and other countries.
She is up to date on state, national and world news and is always ready for a challenge.
Phyllis and I both taught in the West End of Clallam County and we share a strong concern for students and families.
She loves the Pacific Northwest, and we are fortunate that she wants to contribute her skills and expertise to give back to the community.
A vote for Phyllis is a vote for a positive future.
